What is your posture telling you? and the world around you?
Posture is more than just trying to stand up straight! – Your body constantly adjusts to keep you safe and functional. Your posture changes continuously with the tasks demanded of the body, whether that be walking, gardening, playing sports or working at a desk. Your posture also reflects your emotions – and your emotions can be affected by your posture, especially if it is less than optimal, causing pain or discomfort.

Painful or poor posture, sciatica, persistent upper/lower back pain, shoulder pain, neck stiffness, poor breathing, tight calves and/or hamstring muscles, knee pain, weak back, osteoporosis, osteopenia, pelvic pain/pelvic floor dysfunction, shoulder restrictions, sedentary lifestyle, high impact sports or you do heavy lifting or manual work.

How does Foundation Training work to improve posture?
Foundation Training teaches you how to take the burden of supporting the body out of your joints, and put it where it belongs – in your muscles. Foundation training provides youwith tools to take control of your own body!
How does Pilates assist with moving freely?
Specific movement drills from the world of Pilates and rehabilitation, bring awareness to your restrictions and supports functional, ease of movement to take forward into everyday life.
The aim of this workshop:
Learn how to move well and with renewed strength, resilience and performance. Learn strategies to strengthen your back, improve your breathing and lung capacity and achieve pain free and ageless mobility and powerful posture.
Devised by Dr of Chiropractic Eric Goodman to relieve his own debilitating back pain and avoid multiple level surgeries, the Foundation training programme is accessible to all levels. To date we have assisted hundreds of our clients to become stronger, more upright and pain free with Foundation Training. It requires no equipment and is a powerful accessory to all movement programmes including Pilates, Yoga and general fitness regimes right up to elite athletes.
Suitable for all levels – men and women, teens from age 14 and movement teachers and therapists.
For people new to this programme, be prepared for a truly powerful and accessible method of improving posture and mobility. For those already practising; reinforce the benefits, and delve deeper into the transformative effects it can bring to your body and total well-being when combined with Pilates.
