Welcome to our new workshop on nutrition,  lifestyle and healthy weight control for everyone. Recently Kate Gray, registered nurse, Pilates teacher and Director of Fitskool attended the ‘Prescribing Lifestyle Medicine’ Course in London for clinicians.  She has written a special workshop to enable people to put together their own, simple wellness plan, utilising the personal framework and the concepts of the four pillars of health.

Are you suffering from stress, fatigue and overwhelm?  Are you are finding it more and more difficult to manage and control your weight? Are you are worried about the health impact of gaining weight around the middle and/or diabetes? Do you worry about not sleeping well? Do you have aches and pains or general stiffness? Are you unsure about how much, or what type of acivity to do? Or do you just struggle to find time for you? Do you worry about your future health or that of a loved one?

 Would you like to have some knowledge, simple tips and lifestyle strategies that you can easily implement right away?

In this new workshop we will take a simplified look at the following:

  • Understand the role of your gut in influencing your health and wellness
  • Discover why chronic stress can increase weight gain
  • Understand  why movement is key to your metabolism and weight control, but also why too much of the wrong type can be counter- productive!
  • Explore the role of food and diet in health and discover easy ways to manage your diet without dieting or counting calories
  • How to start practising ‘radical self care’ – and move away from depriving to thriving

Schedule:

  • Informative presentations & discussion: nutrition, movement, environment, sleep & hormones
  • Preventive health care: we will check your blood pressure and blood sugar levels for you.
  • Check out your current lifestyle and see where simple changes can be made – even small changes cna make a big difference!
  • Create your own, unique wellness plan using the ‘four pillars’ of health and your ‘personal framework’
  • Movement session to include a short social walk (weather permitting)
  • Refreshment break with a chance to ask questions and chat
  • A 30 minute PureRestore deep relax/breath/Yoga sleep
