What to bring & studio etiquette

Most of our sessions require very little equipment or special clothing. In most cases light trousers and a tee shirt will suffice: accessibility is one of the many advantages and benefits of Pilates style exercise!

For Pilates classes

  • Please download and complete the General Health Medical Screen from this website.
  • You will need light stretchy, comfortable clothing, this need not be skin tight – but it is helpful if we can see a rough outline of your body and limbs to help ascertain correct alignment.
  • Please bring socks (no bare feet).
  • A warm top for the relaxation phase at the end of class
  • Medium size towel to fold or thin cushion if you prefer your own.
  • Shoes to be removed on entering the studio or venue please.
  • Mobile phones to silent please! This is your time free from distractions (If you need to keep your phone switched on for urgent queries please let us know).
  • You may like to bring a water bottle if the weather is warm.
  • Any regular medications (inhalers etc.)
  • All mats and Pilates equipment are provided.

For Backpain workshops

  • Please complete a more detailed Back Health Screen, which you can download and print from this website.
  • Light stretchy, comfortable clothing as above.
  • Socks
  • Water bottle
  • Medium towel
  • Any regular medications (inhalers etc.)

For Retreats and events

  • Please download and complete the General Health Medical Screen.
  • Please download the booking form, which contains information about what to bring along for the day.

 

Please note: we cannot accept liability for loss or damage to client property or valuables. Therefore we suggest that valuables are not brought to sessions where possible.
