Common Questions

Please see below for answers to the most commonly asked questions about our classes and sessions. If you don’t find your answer here, please feel free to contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible with your answer.

How do I book a class?

Please let us know which class you are interested in and possibly include an alternative –  please detail this on our contact form

How do I pay for my Pilates classes?

You can pay by cheque, cash or online transfer which is our preferred method. We will supply details when you book your course.

Courses need to be paid well in advance of the start date to secure your place. We will normally request for you to pay one week prior or in the final week of your current course.

What do I need to wear/bring to class

Please bring along your completed health form on your first session. Comfortable, stretchy clothing is ideal, so that we can see a rough outline of your body. Shoes are not needed for Pilates. You may like to bring a towel to fold and a drink if the weather is warm.

Can I swap a Pilates class if I can’t make my regular day?

While we can’t guarantee it, we make every possible effort to help you change your session. Please understand that it is much more difficult if two people want to swap together, such as when couples attend. However, if you can give us plently of notice it is  easier to plan for. We really want you to get your regular practice and achieve your goals!

Can I carry over missed Pilates sessions to the next term or course?

We regret we cannot facilitate the transfer of missed sessions to new courses. Please talk to us as soon as possible about any session you might miss.

Can I have a refund for missed sessions?

We regret we cannot refund missed sessions unless in very extreme circumstances. If you know you will miss sessions in your current course, please do speak to us, we will do our best to organise something.

What are the benefits of the membership?

Memberships enable  you to spread the cost of all of your classes to one monthly payment over a calender year. (Sept-August academic year) The payments are made by standing order so you have complete control and a record, and no writing out of cheques etc. There is also a reduction on the average cost of single courses. Members also take priority when swapping classes where space alows.

How do I sign up to the membership?

Once you have completed one full course of classes and if you are able to commit to a minimum four months of membership you are very welcome to join- please contact us to organise

How do I book and pay for workshops?

Workshops and events can be paid online to secure your place. We use Go- cardless which is a secure system. The payment will be a one off payment and NOT a recurring one. If you have any questions about the event or would like to pay by another  method, please do contact us

I have a health condition, can I still attend classes?

You will be screened prior to starting  your class. All health screens are overseen by Kate who is a registered nurse. You may need to check with your doctor if anything arises from  your health screen. However, you will most likely still be able to join a class or a private session. please do call us to discuss you concerns, we are here to help.

I am attending classes – what should I do if I become ill with a new medical problem or become pregnant?

So that we can continue to look after you properly, it is very important that you inform us straight away of any change in your health status. You may be able to continue with modifications, so please let us know as soon as possible.

I struggle to get onto the floor, can I still come to classes or workshops?

It is essential that you tell us before you book if you have difficulties getting up and down from the floor. A private class may be more suitable for you at first, or for an initial assessment of your needs, but please do call us for a chat

I have hearing/sight problems, can I still attend your classes?

We strive to make our classes accessible to everyone, please talk to us or email before you book so that we can plan for your needs. We also  run specific clinical classes and semi-private sessions that might suit you better at first, please enquire.

Private sessions: do I have to have the same time each week?

One of the benefits of booking private sessions is the ability to choose your times from the available slots in our diary. If you prefer the same time every week we will do our best to acccommodate you, although we cant guarantee this.

Blocks of special offer sessions do  need to be used within the number of weeks booked, unless arranged at the start of your programme.
